Gazelle Ultimate triumphs at iF Design Award 2026

Gazelle’s eBike, the Gazelle Ultimate, has won the Electric Bicycles category at the iF Design Award 2026.

The jury evaluated entries based on five criteria: idea, form, functionality, differentiation and sustainability. The company said the Gazelle Ultimate scored a total of 295 points, which was “significantly above the threshold required to win”, combining a “modern, sleek design with high comfort and riding enjoyment”.

Three aspects of the eBike were highlighted: its intuitive and user-friendly experience, its sporty and dynamic ride, and its clear focus on sustainability.

The eBike is also equipped with a suspension seatpost, air-suspension front fork and an adjustable stem, making it easy to adapt the bike to the rider’s body and preferred riding position. Riders can also mount their smartphones on the stem and use them as a display.

The integrated batteries are available in 540Wh, 600Wh or 800Wh options. With the addition of the Bosch PowerMore 250 battery, the total capacity can exceed 1,000Wh.

Aside from Gazelle, BBB Cycling’s CoreCap was also awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD 2026.

The iF DESIGN AWARD 2026 is recognised as one of the most renowned design honours worldwide. Run by the independent iF Design Foundation in Germany, the award has served as a global benchmark for outstanding design excellence and impact for over seventy years. This year’s awards attracted more than 10,000 submissions from 68 countries.
