Hiplok launches high security DFX frame mounted D-lock
Hiplok has announced the launch of its most practical high security D-lock to date, the Hiplock DXF frame mounted D-lock.
The DXF pairs the brand’s award-winning DX U-lock with the unique new speed-loading frame bracket for carrying your lock on your bike. This new rattle-free, reliable and sturdy mount uses Hiplok’s patented “CLIP+RIDE” system to attach the lock to the bracket for a steady hold in transit.
Ben Smith, Hiplok co-founder, said: “We continue to look at ways to address the practical challenges of using the strongest bike security. We set out to make the most easy-to-fit, easy to use, high quality frame-mounted U-lock on the market and I believe in the DXF we have achieved this.”
The bracket easily bolts directly to the bottle holder mounts found on most bike frames. This overcomes the key issues with existing D-lock brackets which can be difficult to fit and prone to loosening, and noisy while riding.
The DX lock features a 14mm premium hardened steel shackle and double locking mechanism with anti-rotation tabs to help keep your bike safe.
Earlier this year, Hiplok donated 100 locks to NHS workers at hospitals that had recently been targeted by bike thieves. A special NHS blue version of Hiplok’s Original wearable bike locks was included, with the first of the locks given to Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
