Cooke plans European expansion for VEL label

Bike dealers in the Netherlands are now able to take stock of Cooke Components’ VEL brand, via distributor Italian Cycling Passion.

The appointment is likely “just the beginning” of the label’s non-domestic expansion, says owner Matt Cooke.

“We are really pleased to be working with Italian Cycling Passion and are extremely encouraged by the way VEL has been received in the market,” he says.

“Within hours of the agreement being in place, we were receiving orders from Dutch retailers.”

Cooke has most recently extended the VEL catalogue with new saddlebags and hand pumps.
