Hope Technology has has made available a series of 3D printable tools for those working with its brakes.

In the line up ready for download are tools ranging travel pad spacers, right through to bleeding fixtures and aids. The files are downloadable as a .3MF and Hope recommends using PETG material when printing.

“In the factory we’ve produced a few of these for our own staff and mechanics so we thought we’d open them up to you the consumers,” wrote the company on offering its customers a DIY solution.

Discover the full range of files for download here.

Other manufacturers offering similar include SRAM, whose 3D print archive can be found here.

Another archive of 3D printable files for simple component spares and tools can be found on the blog Bike Mechanic News.

Now that 3D printers are more accessible on price, there is an appetite for the in-house manufacture of non technical replacement parts and tools in a bid to save time and resources. A certain degree of knowledge on the appropriate use of materials is advised however.
