Italian bike shops can reopen 18 May; 3T restarts at Bergamo HQ

After two months of lockdown, 3T is back to work at its base in Italy.

The firm’s employees were home working, with shipments made from Denmark. During the period, 3T also produced valves for breathing equipment and face protection.

The firm is launching a prize draw for consumers to celebrate the reopening, with the Exploro Arlecchino – in the colours of famous local luminary Arlecchino (Harlequin).

3T’s reopening comes a short while ahead of Italian bike shops being allowed to reopen (on 18 May). Other European nations have done the same, allowing bike shops to reopen in Austria on 14 April and in Germany on 20 April. The UK designated bike shops as essential retailers throughout the UK’s Covid-19 lockdown.

Prior to the Covid-19 disruption earlier this year, 3T sold THM Carbones to Schmolke Carbon.
