Jorvik Tricycles unveils indoor test track in Southampton showroom
Jorvik Tricycles has unveiled a test track at its Southampton showroom.
Complete with a roundabout, multiple exits and dual lanes, the 278-square-metre indoor track was designed to replicate real road conditions, according to the company.
At the showroom, which opened last year, customers can try the 15-strong Jorvik Tricycles range, including the foldable RIDA, the DRAKKAR mountain trike and the FRELSI mobility model.
The track, which took more than a week to install, has been completed in Jorvik’s signature British racing green and reflects the company’s new branding, unveiled earlier this summer.
“Ensuring our customers feel supported by both our products and our service is something that has underpinned all of our plans. This commitment is central to the Jorvik brand and a key driver of the loyalty we see across our community,” said James Walker, Founder and CEO of Jorvik Tricycles. “The team and I have witnessed first-hand the benefits that testing the tricycles on the safety of an indoor test track can have in our York showroom, and we’re delighted to extend this personalised service to customers in the south of England.”
Moreover, the company added that, since opening the showroom last year, it has seen strong demand for in-person testing, with almost two-thirds of all sales taking place through one-to-one appointments.
The showroom and workshop are open Tuesday to Friday, 9am–5pm, and Saturday, 8:30am–2pm. Appointments and consultations can be booked via email or through the website, and walk-in customers are also welcome.
