Kask enters sunglasses arena with sub-brand Koo
Headgear specialists Kask has dipped into glasses line with a new sub-label dubbed Koo, short for Kask Optics.
The first collection, dubbed ‘Open’, is to work in tandem with the brand’s helmet designs. Made in Italy and utilising polycarbonate to create flexible foundations, features unique to the range include an innovative folding pivot to store and fold with ease, and a soft rubber nose-pad with two adjustable positions for a customized fit. A smaller nose bridge will also come as standard in the packaging.
When it comes to lenses, Koo will sport interchangeable Zeiss optics. The design will also promote airflow with a system that allows the lenses to be tilted at three different angles to meet the angle of the face. Photochromatic lenses will be sold as an upgrade piece for those preferring a light adapting lens.
The 12 colourway line will now be available from Christmas in Europe, the USA and Asia. Base prices for the Open are expected to be €199 / £169.99 / $239.
To date the sunglasses have been developed in collaboration with the Drapac Pro Continental team and Italian elite Under 23 Team Colpack, giving expert feedback from riders already using the brand’s helmets.
