Komoot recruits Fiola Foley to head up international PR and comms

Komoot, a cycling and hiking navigation startup based in Berlin, has hired Fiola Foley as part of its drive to push the route-building technology out internationally.

Foley spent the last four years at BMC as Head of Global Communications. Her multi faceted professional experience also includes leading communications for Zürich software, development shop Appway & renowned jewelry brand Swarovski as Social Media Manager.

At present Komoot is most widely used in Germany, Austria and Switzerland where it has gained traction thanks to its ability to map out off the beaten track routes for road cyclists, mountain bikers and hikers.

“We’re elated to announce Fiola as the latest addition to the team at komoot. We first worked with her in the past on a BMC & komoot collaboration and have long admired her ability to ensure a brand’s messages resonates with riders globally,” said Tobias Hallerman, co-founder at komoot.

Fiola is now contactable here and is taking appointments for Eurobike where the brand will introduce its services to international trade visitors.
