Marin Mountain bikes to open UK subsidiary
Marin Bikes has announced that it will open a subsidiary based out of its new headquarters in Corsham, Wiltshire, and is parting ways with distributor Paligap after a partnership spanning five years.
The brand will, however, continue to support Paligap in its evolution as a distributor and bicycle supply chain specialist. Paligap will offer Marin a 3PL service, providing streamlined delivery from Marin’s dealer facing B2B.
The MTB brand has taken the opportunity to set up a new office and technical support station in Corsham. The office will have three full time staff, including Oli Brown as UK Brand Manager, Jonny Ashelford as Internal Sales and Technical Support, and John Oldale, International Marketing and UK Support.
The team will be supported by two full-time account managers on the road; Tom Wild in the North and a soon-to-be announced account manager in the South.
It is an exciting time for the Marin brand, which is experiencing overall growth across all bike families.
According to Marin, it is aiming to make the transition as seamless as possible, and is inviting all current Marin dealers to get in touch as soon as possible to ensure that their new account is set up.
The brand’s sales team will be in touch within the next few days to make sure any questions are answered, and any forward orders that were previously held with Paligap are re-entered into its new B2B.
