Marlborough bike shop Bertie Maffoons ram raided
Following yesterday’s break in at Hampshire’s Abbotts Ann Cycles, we’ve unfortunately got wind of yet another ram raid today – this time with Marlborough’s Bertie Maffoons bike shop.
Hit yesterday at around 2.30AM, the store is down by six road bikes with a value of over £10,000. Given the close proximity, it is suggested that the two break ins could be linked and stores in the region are urged to be on high alert.
Speaking to local paper Gazette and Herald, owner Steve Wratten warned others to be on the lookout for suspicious eBay sales.
Anyone with information, including bike shops who may come across suspicious bikes, are asked to contact Wiltshire police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
