Mumu Apparel appoints Pietro Caucchioli as General Manager

US cycling apparel brand Mumu Apparel has appointed Pietro Caucchioli as its new General Manager.

The appointment demonstrates the company’s ambition to enhance product development, strengthen brand identity and streamline business processes, laying a “solid foundation” for future growth.

“Pietro’s extensive racing background and deep understanding of the cycling apparel landscape will make him an invaluable asset as we continue to elevate our brand and offerings,” said Jan Heylen, owner of Mumu. “We are building a team of hardworking, highly motivated people who share our values and dreams, and who want to succeed together in fulfilling our mission.”

Caucchioli is a former ProTour cyclist and seasoned executive with extensive experience in the performance apparel industry. Prior to joining Mumu Apparel, he was a founding partner of FZ Import, managing the US distribution of Alé, DMT and Cipollini, and leading US market operations.

Commenting on his appointment, Caucchioli said: “Together, we will refine and enhance Mumu’s clothing line, elevate the brand identity and create the organisational strength needed to take the business to the next level. I’m excited to begin my journey with the Mumu team and to work directly with our production facility.”

In addition, Mumu has taken ownership of its production facility, enabling the company to fully control the entire manufacturing process with greater speed and flexibility. It also sources premium fabrics and chamois directly from Italy to ensure quality.
