New Vittoria | A Dugast cyclocross tyres produced in carbon neutral factory

The anticipated Vittoria | A Dugast Series cyclocross tyres are now available globally from distributors and shops, as well as the official website, with the range being produced using sustainable manufacturing practices in its newly minted state-of-the-art, carbon-neutral factory.

Vittoria acquired A Dugast two years ago, and this joint project promises the highest standards of performance, aligning with eco-friendly production methods. The new range has been designed with input from top CX athletes to deliver exceptional grip, durability and speed. That feedback will continue to be channelled into the Vittoria cyclocross R&D hub, the firm said it is “dedicated to the ongoing enhancement of these tyres to meet the evolving needs of the cyclocross community”, with this new range the first fruits of that commitment.

In welcome news for a trade that is currently seeing numerous product shortages, Vittoria guarantees a steady supply of these tyres.

Notably, the established product line of cyclocross tyres from A Dugast, which have contributed to numerous CX circuit victories worldwide, will remain available for purchase. They will retain the same features and characteristics, including treads and casings.

“We are thrilled to introduce the Vittoria | A Dugast Series to our customers,” said Stijn Vriends, Chairman & CEO at Vittoria. “This launch signifies our dedication to carrying forward the esteemed A Dugast legacy into the future, while upholding Vittoria’s high standards of innovation, sustainability, and quality. We are confident that these tyres will establish a new standard in the world of cyclocross.”

And there are some (very broad) hints about where the future of the ranges will lay too. As the sector gears up for the 2024-2025 cyclocross season, Vittoria promises some “exciting developments and announcements” which will “push the boundaries of what’s possible in cyclocross”.

Sustainable practices in the cycling industry are very much a focus for the market presently and bike tyres is an area where some noticeable progress is being made – not least in Vittoria’s aforementioned new factory in Thailand.

On the topic of innovation, Vittoria has shown itself to be up for a collaboration or two of late, including lending its gravel tyre tech to a running shoe and graphene – a material discovered 20 years ago this year – has been in the mix for Vittorai since it began a collaboration with Haydale.
