US-headquartered Wren Sports extends presence across Europe
US company Wren Sports has announced the latest development in its ongoing expansion across Europe with the appointment of new distributors and a reported increase in OEM sales.
Wren Sports – best known for its inverted forks, bike packing racks and durable components – has announced a series of business developments across Europe following a successful 18 months of steady sales growth and new product development.
Following the appointment of Richard Hurst as the Head of European Operations last year, the latest update from the brand sees new distributors appointed in the UK, Spain, Poland and Scandinavia and a further enhancement in its OEM offering to brands, bike builders and manufacturers. This is in addition to existing distributors in Germany, Ireland and throughout Asia.
In the UK, Wren Sports’ complete range will now be available exclusively through newly acquired Podium Sports. The company, run by industry veteran Mark Almond, will oversee all UK supply, marketing and retail support. A B2B site is currently being designed but for now trade pricing can be discussed with Mark by contacting him at [email protected]
In Spain, Top Rock Sports, run by Victor Segui, is the new exclusive distributor and the Scandinavian appointment will be announced shortly. (Victor can be reached at [email protected])
As Richard Hurst explains, the new distribution partners are just the latest in a series of ongoing developments for Wren Sports: “2023 saw global sales increase by 10% despite a hugely depressed market and this was coupled with the release of a number of new products developed across the range such as the widely acclaimed Perseverance front rack and the ubiquitous Perseverance OneRack for the rear of the bike.
“Now we are taking this success and this ever-growing range to new markets across Europe with the help of these new distribution partners and our incredibly loyal customers.
“What is more, we are also looking to build on our OEM success that we have achieved with brands like Stromer and Revolt in Switzerland for whom Wren manufactures custom suspension forks for each. Our new cargo bike suspension fork is also being tested by several well-known brands which we hope to announce shortly.”
“One of Wren’s strong points is the durability of our products and this is highly appreciated by both brand partners and retailers who stock the range. For manufacturers and custom bike builders, this real-world proven durability gives them peace of mind when specifying our components on their builds. Likewise, retailers appreciate the value and dependability with very low warranty requirements that we offer their customers.”
Podium’s Mark Almond added: “The Wren Sports range is one that I had been following for some time given their considerable success in the North American market so when the chance to work with them arose, it was a very quick decision to make. We have the entire range in stock and ready for immediate dispatch.”
