One week remains: CI.N’s Market Research has more participant perks than ever

CyclingIndustry.News’ annual Market Research effort is soon to draw to a close and so this is a final call for all UK-based bike shops, workshops and mobile mechanics to submit their take on the current business environment and their forecasts for future years.

Why take part in this market research effort? First of all, those participating will receive the report in full, to their inboxes in the not too distant future.

Last year that meant a 47-page document packed full of insight on everything from momentum in the marketplace per product type, right through popular sales prices, effective sales techniques and the many factors that lend to a enjoyable working relationship with suppliers.

That’s not all. For 2022, courtesy of our sponsors, we have a range of prizes on offer for several participants. These include, but are not limited to:

*  Six lots of countertop displays featuring Squire’s Retrac 2 cable lock, worth north of £200.
*  A Forme Curbar Kids’ bike, as supplied by UK brand owner and distributor Moore Large.
*  Every 50th participant in the study will be gifted an Exposure product set that contains Trace and Trace R MK2 Daybright lights.
*  TBC – Various Continental prizes, courtesy of Cambrian Tyres

Editor Mark Sutton said of the fifth annual effort: “My enormous thanks to the more than 170 bike shops, workshops and mobile mechanics that have thus far taken the 10 minutes out to participate. Your input is invaluable in helping our team understand the market’s movements year-to-year, but can also provide suppliers’ various sales and marketing teams with the tools they need to improve their services back to your business.

“We now have a very mature report and a data set that is unique in the marketplace. It was particularly pleasing last year to see shops local to me having printed our and annotated the report’s contents with a view to enhancing their business. Providing this tool to the market requires months of efforts behind the scenes, but is by far the most rewarding body of work for all involved.”

You can take part directly here and all data is anonymised upon receipt and for the purposes of the final report.
