Orbea has become an official partner of the world’s first Shimano Experience Centre, located in Valkenburg, Holland.

The partnership enables customers to visit the Shimano Experience Centre to demo a range of Orbea bikes, including the new Rise with the new Shimano EP8 RS motor, as well as other new models that the brand will gradually incorporate into the Shimano Experience Centre demo fleet.

“It is very exciting for our brand to be able to team up with Shimano to demo our bikes at the Shimano Experience Centre. The area’s potential is combined with a very robust plan by Shimano,” says Orbea’s Demo Manager, Igor Peña. “Testing out a Rise on a five-star trail and ending with a shower and coffee or another snack is a fantastic experience for any rider.”

In the UK Orbea lists 26 demo ride locations, offering a range of road, mountain bike, hybrid and e-bikes, including cycling as transport products.

On the road Orbea has substantial history of performance products which, in recent years, has included supporting a successful 2 World Record breaking ride, with Dean Stott taking just 99 days to complete the 14,000mile the Pan-American Highway, knocking 17 days of the previous record.

Recently adding to the brands mountain bike history, Speed Company Racing’s Georg Egger and Lukas Baum won the toughest mountain bike race on the planet – the 8 day Cape Epic – riding the Orbea Oiz.

In January of 2022 Orbea outlined the challenges they faced when working through the pandemic and the surge in bike sales, tackling head on the thorny subject of price increases.
