Oxford Products adds HJC helmets to distribution roster

Oxford Products has signed a deal to distribute HJC helmets to the UK cycling industry.

Joining a limited number of 3rd party cycle brands exclusively distributed by the Witney, Oxfordshire-set business, the HJC helmet range could recently be seen first-hand by dealers at the “Independents Days” house show. Oxford told CIN that the addition of HJC strengthens its strategic helmet offering to the market, which also includes Kali helmets and Oxford Products’ own house brand of lids.

HJC has been developing and manufacturing helmets since 1971. The brand is steeped in advanced material construction, strength and lightweight performance, not least due to its experience in producing motorcycle helmets, HJC has developed a number of protection technologies incorporated into its ranges, including SLID. Sliding Layer Impact Distribution uses advanced gel material inside the liner with flowable properties that disperse impact, boosting safety and protection. This technology has been developed to reduce the amount of energy delivered to the brain in the event of an impact, providing a rotating function that minimises the rotational impact energy on the brain.

Other HJC tech highlights include Cool Path, an advanced air channel system, adapting Bernoulli’s principle to its aerodynamically enhanced models. Selfit Pro is said to be the culmination of five decade’s experience in helmets, developed in collaboration with pro riders for ultimate fit and performance.

The move builds on the long-standing relationship between Oxford Products and HJC, initially developed through HJC’s motorcycle ranges which have been distributed to that market by Oxford for seven years.

Dealers can contact their Oxford ASM for more details – stock is arriving later in the month – or new dealers can email [email protected] for more.
