Pivot Cycles introduces the new (more affordable) eMTB Shuttle

Pivot Cycles has launched the new and improved Shuttle eMTB, complete with an updated superlight full carbon frame, new spec and two models with a lower price option.

The updated specification makes the Shuttle one of the lightest eMTBs currently on the market, with the Shuttle TEAM weighing in at just over 20 kg and the Shuttle RACE weighing 0.68 kg more.

Pivot has labelled the bike as the most advanced eMTB it has ever developed, equipped with 29″ wheels and longer 160 mm travel Fox 36 fork with 44 mm offset.

The two new models are built with the exact same full carbon Shuttle frame, with the RACE boasting an XT level build, Shimano’s STEPS E70000 drive unit, an XT drivetrain and Performance level Fox suspension. Meanwhile, the TEAM is built with Shimano’s STEPS E-8000 drive unit, the new 12-speed XTR mechanical drivetrain and Factory level Fox suspension with Kashima coatings.

Pivot Cycles President and CEO, Chris Cocalis, said: “Since day one, riders have been loving the Shuttle but asking for a more affordable version. I am pleased that this day is finally here, and we did it while significantly improving the bike at the same time and the Shuttle TEAM model really takes that performance up yet another notch.”

The Shuttle is available as a complete bike in two different models: The RACE XT comes in Black with Sterling Silver graphics and retails in the UK for £6,999, while the TEAM XTR comes in Steel Blue and retails at £9,099.

The models are available in sizes S/M/L/XL via Pivot dealers. More information and specifications can be found here.

And the innovations don’t stop there, as the brand unveiled the new Mach 4 SL last week; a cross country race bike designed to enable World Cup level athletes capitalise on increasingly technical courses and generate speed.
