POC founder moves on to launch ‘Cake’ electric motorcycle label

POC founder Stefan Ytterborn has revealed his next venture to be in the world of electric vehicles.

Though not cycling specific, Ytterborn will be levering his knowledge from the outdoor world to debut Cake, a label described as an off road electric motorcycle label.

”On the mission to speed up the journey towards a zero emission society, my new ride is electric”, says the Cake CEO. “I’m extremely excited to announce that we are innovating new technologies for a sustainable approach to off-road motorcycling, allowing for an optimized riding experience yet being respectful to the planet.”

Launching the first Cake electric motorcycle in 2017, the goal is to reach a 10 percent market share in off-road motorcycles in 10 years. Cake is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and has its technology office in Taiwan.
