Private Equity firm takes majority stake in Look Cycle

Having been bought by wheel brand Corima earlier this year, Look Cycle has now received majority stake investment from private equity firm Activa Capital.

The funding provided has not been specified, but the investment is a Buy-in Management Buyout.

Existing brand owners Dominique Bergin and Thierry Fournier have taken the business to a point where it has annual revenues of around €45 million and employs 400.

Bergin, President of Look, said: “Look has many development projects and we wanted the support of a highly reputable financial partner. We are pleased to welcome Activa Capital with whom we share a common growth vision for our brand.

“With the arrival of Activa Capital, Look intends to capitalize on its strong position in Europe to accelerate its growth and its international development, in a sector which is enjoying sustainable growth.”

Look assigns more than 10% of its turnover to research and innovation with a portfolio of over 230 patents.
