Raleigh launches the Trace, it’s lightest eBike to date

Raleigh has today announced the launch of their lightest eBike model to date, the Trace – a 16.5kg high-tech eBike perfect for daily commuting, weekend adventuring, and ‘for the fun of it’ leisure riding.

With a range of 50 miles, the Trace is powered by a 250watt-hour battery, built-in for extra security. The integration means the Trace, with a sleek profile more in keeping with regular bike tube shapes, really doesn’t look like the typical eBike.

Raleigh highlights that the Trace is ten times more sustainable than an equivalent petrol or diesel vehicle, making it the perfect solution for the eco-conscious traveller, be that beating the traffic on a morning commute or cruising alongside the river, heading to meet friends.

The Trace is designed to help riders unlock their surroundings, avoid the usual congestion, and most importantly, enjoy the journey. As such the bike is fully equipped with lights, panniers, and everything needed to head out and explore.

Riders can choose between 2 fun colourways; bronze and blue. The Trace – recommended retail price £2,199 – joins a growing range of ‘cycling as transport’ focused bikes, which Raleigh is cleverly positioning to appeal to those outside of the traditional ‘already a cyclist’ marketplace – estimated to include some 60 million potential new UK customers.
