Raleigh reveals overhaul to best-selling Motus lines
The best-selling Raleigh Motus line will see a handful of changes for 2022, with new in-frame Bosch PowerTube batteries now to be carried on the Tour and Grand Tour iterations.
Set to be delivered in ten fresh colours the hybrid electric bikes will now start at £2,199 for the standard Motus, bumping up the price for specs like the Motus Tour Derailleur at £2,499, Motus Tour Hub at £2,599, Motus Grand Tour Derailleur at £2,699 and finally the range topping Motus Grand Tour Hub at £2,799.
At the entry-level price point the Raleigh Motus comes with a 400WH Bosch Active Line motor. Allowing up to 80 miles of assisted riding on a single charge, and an energy output of up to 250% of the rider’s pedal power, the Motus runs almost completely noise-free.
As an aside to the electrics even the base level Raleigh Motus electric bike comes kitted out with full mudguards, kickstand, reflective tyres, powerful hydraulic disc brakes and seven-speed gear system.
For those looking to invest a touch more, the Motus Tour and Motus Grand Tour models are available with either derailleur or hub gearing systems, and include integrated lights at the front and rear as well as a built-in wheel lock. The Motus Tour offers an intuitive Bosch Intuvia display, whilst the Motus Grand Tour is the most specced-out E-bike in the range. Offering another 20% of oomph with its 500WH Bosch PowerTube, and an even more powerful Bosch Active Line Plus Motor, Motus Grand Tour riders have the freedom to go further than ever before.
New for 2022, all Raleigh Motus Tour and Grand Tour models now come with inbuilt Bosch PowerTube batteries for a sleek and modern look. Weighing in at only 2.9kgs, this compact power bank can be easily removed for convenient charging at home.
