Schwalbe appoints Nico Simons to the executive board as CSO

Ralf Bohle GmbH, one of Europe’s leading bicycle tire manufacturer with its brand Schwalbe, has appointed Nico Simons to Chief Sales Officer. Simons previously held the position of Sales Manager for the group. Effective 1 April, Simons will join the current executive board with Frank Bohle, Holger Jahn and Andreas Grothe.

As Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Simons will be responsible for strategic global sales planning, as well as the subsidy companies in the Netherlands, France, Italy, UK and the USA and sales partners in approximately 70 countries.

Simons first joined the company as Sales Clerk at 20 years old before moving up and making contacts across several continents, initially in the OEM sector and later as Head of Sales for the entire sales department. During this time, he connected with many important customers, who Schwalbe has been working with very closely for decades.

Frank Bohle said: “From early on, Nico Simons has excelled thanks to his extraordinary momentum and he managed to build an enormous level of sales expertise in a short time. For this, he has established himself as a high pillar of the company. We are therefore very pleased to welcome him to the executive board.”

Earlier this month saw Schwalbe recruit Ed Trotman to join the UK sales team with a brief to cover the south of England, where he will provide expert technical and marketing support to shops along with training on the range of Schwalbe products.
