Scottish Cycling and Running Show locks in 2019 dates
Having been forced to postpone this year’s event due to heavy snowfall, the Scottish Cycling, Running and Outdoor Pursuits Show has announced that it will bounce back in March of 2019.
The event, which will take place at the SEC Glasgow – 2nd and 3rd of March, 2019, is the biggest consumer event of its kind in Scotland.
Organisers PSP Media suggest that, with more than 6 months to go until the 2019 event, over 85% of the hall space has already been sold.
Exhibitors confirmed thus far include Mondraker, Focus, Cervelo, Santa Cruz, Kinesis, Orbea, DMR, Ribble, Hoka, On Running, Altra, Hilly and Gore. Over 100 are said to have signed thus far.
PSP Media Event Manager, Julia Girvan, said: “In all my years in the industry, it is quite unprecedented to have this size of hall so fully booked this far out from the event. It promises to be a record year and with so many leading exhibitors, we expect ticket sales to be extremely high.”
New audience activity areas – including a new 360 cycle challenge, enlarged Bosch e-Mountain bike track and indoor zip line – will prove a draw for anyone looking for test rides and help bolster show dwell time.
With Scotland currently leading the way in the UK with electric bike uptake incentives, it is expected that such demos and exhibitors with product will become a crucial element of the show.
