SRAM to expand AXS tech with GX Eagle AXS trickledown
SRAM has announced that it will be expanding its AXS product offerings with an update to its SRAM GX Eagle product.
The new GX Eagle employs AXS wireless technology, and the rugged durability of GX. It also features an expanded 520% range, seamless compatibility with the rest of the ecosystem, and the ability to customize with the AXS app.
GX EAGLE AXS DERAILLEUR
The GX Eagle AXS derailleur features a resilient Overload Clutch, and is also compatible with the new expanded range 10-52T cassette as well as the 10-50T cassette.
It also has AXS enabled componentry software that makes it possible to both program and personalise new SRAM and RockShox components with Eagle technology. It is finished with the GX eagle colorway. (Battery sold separately).
GX EAGLE AXS CONTROLLER
The shifting performance of Eagle AXS is now available with GX. The rider can shift under load, over the roughest terrain, uphill, without changing grip on the bar. With no cable, housing or wires to manage, this opened up the design and engineering possibilities with the GX Eagle AXS controller. Featuring ergonomic touchpoints that make shifting effortless, they are customisable to the rider’s preferences, allowing them to choose which button does what through the AXS App.
The controller is also compatible with MatchMaker X and all derailleurs in the Eagle AXS ecosystem. Additionally, AXS enabled componentry software also makes it possible to both program and personalise new SRAM and RockShox components. The system is also completely water and dust proof to IP69K.
GX AXS UPGRADE KIT
New for 2021, The GX AXS upgrade kit is the entry point into wireless drivetrain simplicity. Compatible with any of the Eagle ecosystem cassettes and crank arms, the upgrade kit allows riders to experience AXS without needing to buy an entire groupset, provided you are already using Eagle products.
AXS BATTERY COVER
The AXS battery cover is a light-weight cowling designed to protect the battery while installed on the derailleur. The AXS battery cover fits all AXS mountain bike derailleurs.
The SRAM GX Eagle is now available to stockists on the Raleigh B2B website.
