SRM debuts THM-made carbon crankarm powermeter at team launch

Having become a title sponsor of the newly-formed Bahrain-Merida cycling team, SRM has unveiled a super lightweight powermeter product. 

Tipping the scales at 99 grams for the crankarms, SRM outlined a number of key selling points other than the low weight. In particular, the firm was keen to flag its removable spindle design, something that enables crankarms to be swapped quickly.

German carbon fibre specialists THM, which was acquired by 3T earlier this year, will be producing the crankarms for SRM, whose premium power product will feature within.

Team Bahrain-Merida will also ride with a customised PowerControl8 head unit, which will be anodized gold in honour of the Bahrain Royal Family.
