Styrkr signs with Sigma Sports, targets 2023 retail network expansion

Styrkr sports fuel has announced a new retail partnership with Sigma Sports, which sees the range of sports fuel and hydration products sold in the retailers stores and online.

The young brand – pronounced stir-kuh – which means ‘strength’ in old Norse, will start 2023 with a focus on building out it’s retail footprint, forming partnerships with independent bike shops across the UK.

A passion project for MD, Christian Sanderson, himself a keen endurance cyclist, Styrkr is and adventure, endurance, performance brand for the everyday athlete.

The brand has worked with leading experts during the development of the Styrkr range, with partners at the University of Hull scientifically evaluating products. This includes PlasmaTech, which Styrkr claim enables athletes to absorb more carbohydrates per hour, increasing energy, regulating fluid to maintain output, reducing ammonia in the blood to lesson fatigue, increasing nitric oxide levels to enhance power whilst also being gentle on your stomach giving you the strength to go further. The University of Hull analysis will culminate in the creating of a research paper.

Styrkr: fuelling ambition flyer, with people silhouetted on the skyline“Styrkr has heaps of potential to really excel in the sports endurance market, where the brand has developed a bold and strong style.” says Sam William Andrews, who leads sales in the UK and US.

Furthermore, “We want more people to experience the benefits of using Styrkr in their sports activities.” and this ties in with the plan for retail network expansion in 2023.
