Taiwan OEM Oyama to enter US market with own brand

OEM manufacturer Oyama has announced that it will debut its own-label bikes at Interbike before rolling out sales to the American consumer.

Beginning in Spring 2017, the label’s expertise is in affordable bicycles, of which it manufactures some half a million a year between two sophisticated facilities.

The expansive R&D division at the original Tainan location produces prototypes in carbon fiber, aluminum, chrome and steel. These are then passed on to the firm’s high-capacity manufacturing facility in Jiang-Su, China. This high capacity facility produces niche bikes under the Oyama brand name, as well as contracts for numerous industry labels. The own-label bikes are already sold today at 250 OYAMA stores throughout the Asia Pacific.
