Tredz Bike Garage, powered by Bike Matrix, launches

Tredz has announced the launch of Bike Garage, powered by Bike Matrix, a compatibility tool designed to help cyclists buy replacement parts and upgrades with greater confidence.

Finding the right replacement component for modern bikes can often be confusing. As bike technology continues to evolve and standards change, choosing compatible parts has become increasingly complex for riders of all experience levels. Bike Garage Powered by Bike Matrix aims to remove that uncertainty, helping customers make more informed decisions before they buy.

Bike Garage Powered by Bike Matrix combines comprehensive bicycle and parts compatibility data from Bike Matrix with the Tredz online shopping experience to provide customers with clear compatibility guidance. Available across product pages on the Tredz website, Bike Garage Powered by Bike Matrix enables customers to identify their bike by make, model, year, specification and frame size before checking compatibility with a growing range of replacement parts and components. Once a bike has been selected, your Bike Garage remembers those details, making future compatibility checks quicker and more convenient. Make an upgrade to your ride, no problem; Bike Garage Powered by Bike Matrix remembers that too.

As this platform continues to expand its compatibility solution, supporting a growing range of leading bike brands and models beyond those currently available through the Tredz product range, your Bike Garage will continue to develop alongside it, delivering an increasingly valuable experience for all riders.

Initial customer feedback has demonstrated the positive impact Bike Garage can have on the customer shopping experience. Customers are already successfully using the compatibility tool and have reinforced the confidence that compatibility guidance can bring when purchasing bike parts and upgrades as part of the UX journey.

Bike Garage Powered by Bike Matrix marks the launch of Tredz’s longer-term vision to create a more connected bike ownership experience. Today’s step is the first phase of that journey, laying the foundations for future developments that will further simplify maintenance, servicing, upgrades and product compatibility, providing customers with an experience of owning and maintaining a bike that’s as enjoyable as riding one.

Andrew Murray, Project Lead at Tredz, said: “This is a game-changing step towards creating a truly personalised ownership experience for our customers. Early testing has already shown the difference compatibility guidance can make, with more customers completing their purchases, larger basket values and significantly lower basket abandonment. This is just the beginning of the journey we’re building at Tredz as we continue to make buying and owning a bike simpler and more enjoyable.”

Lyndal Bailey, Co-Founder at Bike Matrix, said: “We started Bike Matrix with a vision to transform the bicycle industry by creating a trusted, independent compatibility solution that enables retailers, service providers, manufacturers and riders to find the right parts for a selected bike.

“We’re proud to support Tredz as they take the first step in their Bike Garage journey. We value working with companies that are willing to challenge the status quo and invest in improving the way riders find replacement parts. Together, we’re helping create a more confident and connected ownership experience for cyclists.”
