Upgrade bring new Pivot Shadowcat to the UK

Pivot’s new 27.5″ trail bike, the Shadowcat, will be available in the UK via long time importers Upgrade Bikes.

The successor to a much loved Mach 5.5 features an all new feather-weight chassis, paired with progressive geometry, and dw-link suspension, designed for all out fun. The Shadowcat carries enough travel (160mm front /140mm rear) and geometry (65.8 head tube / 34.0 BB height / 43.0 chain stay length) to still rail big lines in sketchy terrain with confidence and control.

Utilising Pivot’s Hollow Core carbon construction has enabled the creation of a 140mm of travel bike which weighs less than the class-leading Trail 429, and just a few grams more than the remarkably light Mach 4 SL – all of which points to an eminently all day out, pedal friendly, ride.

“Our goal with the Shadowcat was to build the best bike for having fun,” says Chris Cocalis, founder and CEO of Pivot.

“The combination of ultra-lightweight, suspension tuning and geometry results in a bike that has an incredibly poppy and fast feeling. From the beginning, the goal was to build a very nimble, ultralight trailbike. The Shadowcat is a super-capable rocket ship that just puts a huge smile on your face wherever you ride it.”

Available in two colours – Danger Fruit and Blue Mirage – in sizes XS through L – in Shadowcat Pro XT/XTR UK build kit spec, with a choice of a carbon wheel upgrade.

Pricing for the bike is £ 7,500.00 without carbon wheelset upgrade, or £ 8,850.00 with.
