Velorution launch in-store recharge scheme for e-bikes

Electric and urban cycling specialist Velorution is offering a free battery recharge service – available in each of Velorution’s central London stores – for riders of electric bikes

3 e-bike chargers layed out side by side on wood plinth, with velorution card in bottom left corner of imageIn making the announcement, the business highlights that, with electric bikes continuing to rise in popularity, the number of cyclists looking to keep their batteries brimmed grows. At the same time, cyclists struggle to access a plug point, locate a compatible charger or find a safe space to leave their bike on charge. Velorution Recharge aims to solve this, providing a secure location for cyclists to return their batteries to full. Even more excitingly the service is free!

The announcement is hot on the heels of Sustrans tie-up with Bosch as the German e-bike giant provides charging facilities on national cycle routes across the country.

Commenting on the new scheme Velorution Managing Director Jonathan Cole notes, “With active travel on the country’s mind especially across the capital and the rising cost of living we think our customers are going to love Velorution Recharge.”

“Despite cyclists of all kinds enjoying the fun and freedom of an electric bike, we know many experience range anxiety, battery preservation and charging woes. With four stores across central London and expertise in all electric bikes we believe Velorution is in the right place to offer this service.”
