Wiggle places former Chain Reaction warehouse on the market
Wiggle has placed Chain Reaction Cycles’ former Ballyclare warehouse on the market.
Following the takeover of its rival last year, Wiggle moved to consolidate the businesses, trimming excess assets and jobs, previously reported to be in the region of 310 roles, a figure that now looks to have been reduced.
Describing the property, for which offers north of £1,750,000 are sought, the agents in charge of the sale outline that the build has “generous staff facilities, air conditioned offices, 3 phase electricity and height of up to 25 feet. The facility is based 15 miles from Belfast and 10 miles from Antrim with good access to the M2 motorway, as well as nearby airports and ports.
Commercial property agents O’Connor Kennedy Turtle have the property listed here.
Though citing exceptional costs relating to the acquisition of Chain Reaction, Wiggle has seen deepening losses since the buyout and is now looking to steady the ship as it begins to drive forward its overseas trade.
