Zedify opens Hoxton depot for electric cargo fleet
Zedify recently opened a new London depot in Hoxton just outside the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). This new micro-consolidation centre will house up to 20 of Zedify’s zero emission electric cargo trikes and will be able to handle over 1,500 deliveries each day.
As with all Zedify depots, parcels arrive in the morning from around the UK, are consolidated and sorted into delivery rounds and then our friendly couriers deliver within a two mile radius. This proximity to the depot, means riders often complete two-three routes in a day, giving flexibility around timeslots. At the same time, routes are optimised to be super-efficient and parking and access are never an issue, the firm said.
Sam Keam co-founder & COO of Zedify, added: “This new hub greatly enhances our capacity for growth within central London. With the ULEZ and other restrictions in place for more traditional delivery modes, there has never been a better time to change urban logistics for the better.”
Launched last year, Zedify has eight depots across the UK and re-modes urban deliveries onto unique electric-assist cargo bikes, reducing emissions, improving congestion and ensuring deliveries can have a positive impact on the urban environment.
