Advanced intro eMTB bikes with race team at Worlds

Advanced Bikes UK has announced the introduction of performance eMTB bikes into their UK range, timed to coincide with the Advanced E-Racing Team competing in Scotland, at the UCI Cycling World Championships.

Of the move, Adam and Sophie from Advanced Bikes UK comment, “As a German manufacturer, Advanced offers a wide range Bosch powered eBikes; for the brand to really take off in the UK we feel it’s time to bring the brands strongest models into the UK market.”

The UK distributor saw strong interest from UK retailers whilst at Eurobike 2023, with Fin Robertson from Ride Electric the first UK partner to take on Advanced eMTBs. Roberston comments, “I was impressed to see what’s coming for model year 2024 when I saw their range at Eurobike in Frankfurt last month. Now it’s the time to impress my own customers and let them have fun on the Advanced eMTBs.”

“I’m really looking forward to seeing the Advanced E-Racing Team at Worlds, and will be at Glentress to see the riders compete.”

Advanced eMTB race team

The Advanced E-Racing Team will be seen racing in the eMTB cross country races for men and women at the Glentress Forest, Tweed Valley on the 9th of August 2023.

Here, the team will be racing on the Advanced Offroad Pro Mtb FS Race Limited Edition, a sub 22kg build featuring a full carbon frame, combined with RockShox ZEB Ultimate fork and Super Deluxe Ultimate shock, paired with the Bosch Performance CX Race motor, featuring race mode, delivering up to 400% pedal assistance. SRAM X01 Eagle AXS drive train, and Magura MT7 Pro HC brakes give the team a racing platform equipped to support their performance goals.

This season the team – Antonia Daubermann, Heiko Hog, Hannes Herrmann and Rico Libesch, who, at Albstadt, claimed the German championship title – have already raced in 5 world E-Bike series events. A total of 10 events in 7 countries are scheduled this season with the Advanced E-Racing Team led by former professional rider Stefan Schumacher, as sports director.

“We take the races in the eMTB sector very seriously and strive to provide the best possible conditions for our riders. It’s even more gratifying that we can achieve these results in our first season,” says Helge von Fugler, CEO of Advanced in Germany.

These international eMTB races, competing at high level, offer ideal conditions from which the German manufacturer can input and guide further development of the MTB segment for years to come.

Advanced Bikes UK growth plans

The introduction of eMTB into the Advanced Bikes UK portfolio marks the next step in the distributors UK and ROI growth plan for a business which has, up until now, been ‘cycling as transport’ focused, with the 100% recyclable, carbon composite, RECO eBikes. The arrival of eMTB sees the UK distributor taking the first step in the expansion plan, with Advanced hybrid and urban eBikes to follow.
