Bath’s oldest bike shop joins Lyle Finlay’s portfolio

John’s Bikes of Bath has been acquired by Lyle Finlay, a formed Managing Director of Claire’s Accessories and owner of BikeUK in Clifton and Ralph Coleman in Taunton.

In the two weeks since the deal was confirmed, the Bath’s longest serving bicycle store has been revamped and will now carry Orange, Whyte, Focus, Orbea and Castelli, among other labels.

“We have a great deal of respect for John’s Bikes heritage,” says Managing Director Lyle Finlay, “and will be faithful to that, just as we have been at our Ralph Colman shop, but within our goal of serving our customers’ needs well.”

With a track record of investing in south west cycle stores, Finlay now believes his investment in John’s Bikes will see the branch carry the widest stock in Bath.
