BikeBook national mechanic booking system goes live

Bikebook has launched a new online means to find and book the best local bike mechanic, wherever cyclists are located across the UK.

The idea behind the online platform is to deliver a tool which streamlines service bookings enabling bike shops to maximise the flow into their workshop team, whilst enabling cyclists to browse workshop availability, finding the right level of service, at a price which matches their needs.

Critically, for both bike shops and cyclists, bikebook enables booking directly into the chosen shop, if that shop is listed on the site.

Over 1,000 bookings have already been generated through the tailor-made bicycle service booking system, with over 280 registered mechanics signed up to the service.

The team behind bikebook point out that, “cyclists often found a mechanic through a word-of-mouth recommendation; however, the pandemic led to an increase in cyclists having to use search engines instead.”

With this in mind, “our workshop management tool is designed to help improve a mechanic’s day-to-day administrative efficiency, whilst also helping to refine the customer experience around obtaining a service.”

For those shops looking to bolster their workshop profitability, economist and industry sales agent John Styles recently penned an insight for CI.N that detailed how a workshop can deliver ‘on demand’ servicing, as a point of value for both customers and businesses.
