Cooke Components to distribute Elvedes braking solutions

Cooke Components is to import Elvedes components into the UK, giving UK dealers access to a plethora of braking spares from December.

Hailing from Nieuwkuijk, Netherlands, the manufacturer provides quality cables, brake pads, hydraulic parts, bearings and jockey wheels – with a host of tools and cutters alongside.

Cooke Components MD, Matthew Cooke comments: “We’re excited to be working with Elvedes to bring this brand into the UK market, the level of detail and development which has gone into the range is unrivaled and presents the most complete offering I have come across. “The Elvedes range is comprehensive and highlights include: Outer cabling in numerous up-to-date colours including Fluro, inner cables designed to work optimally with internal cable-routing, cooling fin disk pads from the “Aerostream” range, multi-fit jockey wheels, including the latest models for narrow-wide systems, cooling system RDX Rotors and a host of handy workshop boxes with line such as replacement hydraulic parts for original equipment brake systems.”

Highlights for the dealer include:

Inner Wire, Stainless Steel Slick & Smooth – This cable has been designed with 49 strands in a 7×7 configuration to allow flexibility and performance – required for newer generation gearing systems with internal cable routing where stiffer inner-wires hamper shifting performance. Sitting at the top of the Elvedes range, these have a competitive trade price – in some cases, less than half the cost of comparable original equipment cables, says Cooke.

E-bike Specific Disc Pads – Designed specifically for the e-bike market, and using a metallic/carbon compound formulated by Elvedes, the pads are suitable for dry or wet conditions with a compound mix sitting between that of organic and sintered. Pads are available for the three major models of braking systems used on e-bikes.

Jockey Wheels – A neat solution to cover the needs for most models of replacement jockey wheels – Elvedes has four clear and concise models covering fitting for Shimano/SRAM/Campagnolo systems. The main model for most 8/9/10/11 speed systems comes complete with four spacer sets to allow one pack to handle four fitting types. Also available as a workshop box of 10 for ease of use.
