eBike hire operator HumanForest expands into zero emissions parcel deliveries

eBike share operator HumanForest has moved into on-demand zero emissions parcel deliveries with Forest Parcel – a service for Londoners and businesses to send packages across the city.

Tapping into the booming parcel delivery market – expected to double in the next five years to one billion packages annually – Forest Parcel will use HumanForest’s existing fleet of eBikes. The business potential is strong in terms of consumer ethics too, points out the business, with 87% of Londoners are motived to help tackle climate change.

Micromobility-oriented HumanForest recently secured a sizeable £12 million investment to bolster its presence in London.

Since launching in 2020, HumanForest’s eBike fleet has completed over 2 million rides and helped to avoid 350 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere. This new delivery platform was created on the back of demand from existing HumanForest customers who told the company that they wanted more ways to reduce their carbon footprint on a daily basis.

Agustin Guilisasti, HumanForest CEO and founder said: “Launching Forest Parcel is another way for us to help improve air quality and decarbonise London. Our customers want everyday solutions to the climate crisis and this zero-emission, on-demand courier service gives Londoners that. Left your keys at home again? Don’t fear – Forest Parcel is here!”

Eugenia Sepulveda, HumanForest Parcel Lead, said: “This project is an innovative and natural next step for HumanForest. We are proud to have built the offering and the technology needed to facilitate London’s first and only zero-emissions, on-demand parcel service.”

Deliveries are bookable through the Parcel website and the parcel must weigh less than five kilograms.
