Evans Cycles boss Nick Wilkinson leaves amid profit decline

The boss of Evans Cycles Nick Wilkinson has left on what is understood to be mutually agreed terms.

In place since May 2011, Wilkinson departs at a time when the business is struggling for profits, having posted a pre-tax dip of 69.4% recently.

The business is currently being ‘re-financed’ by owner ECI Partners, who acquired the business only in May last year.

Current chairman Mike Tomkins is to fill in temporarily as chief executive while a replacement is sought.
