Evans Cycles to open new store in Central London

Evans Cycles will open a new store in Central London in late September as part of its plan to open 100 new stores across the UK.

Located just off Regent Street and spanning 4,500 square feet, the new store will feature a dedicated showroom displaying more than 180 bikes and a selection of the world’s leading cycling brands. It will also house a Shimano Service Centre, including Brompton-accredited servicing.

Moreover, Italian bike brand Colnago will return to Evans Cycles. The company said the addition signalled its commitment to serving riders “seeking higher-end performance road models alongside its options for every type of cycling discipline”.

Customers will also find an extended range of the newly relaunched Vitus brand, spanning gravel, hardtail, road and MTB bikes, as well as the new AW collection from dhb, the brand’s latest performance cycling apparel line. Other brands available in-store will include Brompton, Trek, Specialized, Cube and Endura.

A trained mechanic will also be stationed in the store for quick fixes and on-the-spot repairs.

“We are continuing to push ourselves when it comes to what customers can expect from a bike retail experience. Not only in terms of our visual merchandising, own-brand offering and the depth of selection from our partners, but also in the services we provide,” said Robert Bentley, Managing Director of Evans Cycles.

Opening on 29 September, the new store is part of the company’s long-term plan to open 100 new stores across the UK in the coming years. The London launch will be followed by a new Edinburgh store opening next month, marking Evans’ return to the city after its previous site closed earlier this year due to an expiring lease.

In summer, Evans Cycle opened a new store in Southampton. The new 4,700 square feet store features a fully equipped service centre and a 150-bike showroom spanning road, mountain, gravel, kids’ and eBikes. Notable brands, including Specialized, Vitus, Cube, Brompton, Rapha and dhb, are available in the store.
