Gazelle lands 2026 iF Design Award for newly available Grenoble C5+ First Edition
The 5th generation Bosch Performance Line motor-powered latest from Gazelle has picked up a prestigious 2026 iF Design Award.
Following in the footsteps of one its predecessors, the Gazelle Grenoble C5+ First Edition won an iF Design Award 2026 for its “seamless integration of form and function” praising its redesigned frame. Now available to the market, the C5+ is a flagship model and features an Ultra-Low Step-Through frame where the geometry has been reimagined with an even lower mounting point, making it the most accessible and stable Grenoble ever produced.
The Intube battery (540 or 600 Wh) sits flush in the down tube for a slim, stylish silhouette while the rear of the bike features a reinforced, newly engineered carrier system. Integrated with the MIK HD system, it allows riders to swap bags, baskets, or child seats in one simple motion with increased weight capacity and stability.
The Grenoble C5+ First Edition is among the first to feature the 5th Generation Bosch Performance Line motor, said the brand: Delivering a powerful 75 Nm of torque, this latest generation aims for a more natural, intuitive pedal assist that makes steep bridges and heavy headwinds feel non-existent. All ride data is displayed on the high-resolution, detachable Kiox 300 colour display, providing turn-by-turn navigation and personalised fitness insights.
The lighting system has been comprehensively updated, with a new, high-output LED headlight provides a wider beam pattern for superior road illumination. The redesigned rear lighting is now integrated into the frame and carrier, offering 360-degree visibility. It includes a specialised dynamic brake light that brightens instantly when you decelerate, alerting traffic behind.
The premium suspension fork and seat post absorb vibrations from cobblestones and uneven paths, ensuring a plush ride. High-performance hydraulic disc brakes offer modulated, powerful stopping power in dry and wet conditions. This model is available in the sophisticated Twilight Green Matte colourway. The Gazelle Grenoble C5+ First Edition is priced at £3,499.
