Herrmans OEM catalogue boosted with upgraded lights, grips

Herrmans is enhancing its ability to meet high OEM demand for its lights an grips, shortening some lead times on key lines and new products arriving in the catalogue.

Bringing forward some automation to its manufacturing, as well as sourcing more component parts locally, Herrmans has reduced its production time on items like the Generation 2 H-Black MR4 Light.

One of the firm’s best-sellers, the Gen2 MR4 has delivered new and upgraded electronics, bought locally to decrease freight use and increase the level of sustainability in its supply. Also, the new one-piece housing is upgraded to be even more durable. This new of front light generation will be produced with a new fully automated production cell, which will lead to both a shorter production and customer lead-time. The H-Black Mr4 Gen2 is suitable for e-bikes, and the standard H-Black MR4 will still be available for any dynamo equipped bike.

“Our test winning front light in a new package with a stable performance, improved flexibility and secured availability for years to come,” says R&D Manager, Joel Savikko.

spokeHerrmans Premium grip Altro is further developed on the back of the success of the firm’s Primo grip. Made with European-sourced and non-toxic materials, the Altro carries an integrated lock system beneath its ergonomic platform that is designed for long ride comfort.

Alongside this the previously mentioned Clik Comfort is a new addition to the best seller Clik Original and grip Clik Cork. For this iteration Herrmans has kept the qualities from Clik Original, but added more ergonomic features and comfort.

Finally, in order to protect spokes a new recycled plastic spoke protector made in Finland further’s the manufacturer’s effort to reduce its environmental footprint. Designed for up to 32T sized cogs, it is easy to install and fits freewheel hubs, Ø140 mm.

A pledge to be carbon neutral by 2035 has been laid down by the Finnish components maker, whose sustainability report joins an increasing trend by manufacturer’s to make public their ambitions in the face of mounting global pressures to show meaningful contributions to a shared climate change offsetting effort.
