Hiplok debuts Z-lock “re-usable zip tie” to prevent snatch and run theft
Security label Hiplok has launched a new zip-tie inspired lock that is designed to prevent “snatch and run” type theft.
Sold at £15 for a pair, the re-usable ties are operated by a pronged key that releases the tie in an instant.
Founder Ben Smith told CyclingIndustry.News: “A steel band runs through the center and sprung metal tabs bite down meaning you can create a tight clasp on wheels, helmets, handbags, whatever it is you’d like to secure. They’re perfect for a quick nip into the shops and at 420mm long they’re both pocket friendly and able to loop key components together.”
