Low-maintenance Raleigh ONE smart eBike launches with Raleigh Membership

The Raleigh ONE is a new low-maintenance urban eBike for the UK, Germany and the Netherlands with one gear and one size. Notably, also launched alongside is Raleigh Membership scheme for riders, with tiered options that “allow Raleigh to deliver continuous improvements for riders throughout the lifecycle of the eBike, and paves the way for future innovations in software, support and services.”

Riders can choose from a lite ‘Base’ membership, or the ‘Core’ membership. The Base Membership comes free as standard when the bike is purchased, whilst the Core Membership will cost users £6.99 a month (£84 a year). Base members get the ride dashboard, support, basic security, Bluetooth updates and Stolen mode (manual). Core members get Ride dashboard and support, but also smart security, over the air updates, stolen mode activation, smart maintenance, bike sharing (up to 4 people), touch & go, and remote arming.

Back to the Raleigh ONE and the urban-focused eBike is pitched as the ‘one’ bike riders will need for the city, with built-in simplicity, backed up by a comprehensive dealer network. It is powered by a single-speed motor and a 360WH removable battery – giving riders a range of up to 80km in eco mode (approximately 50km in boost). Featuring a carbon belt drive and hydraulic disc brakes, the lightweight, one size aluminium frame features integrated rear-lights with a wraparound design, while its dual-front light with smart functionality and a powerful beam. The smart geometry of the Raleigh ONE enables a confident riding position, thanks to riser handlebars, while wide tires offer a smooth, cushioned ride to take on tough multi-surface city terrain.

For hands-free smart-integration on the go, riders can purchase either an SP Connect case, or an SP Connect bracket which connects to the inbuilt SP Connect mount, providing a secure and stable connection for their smartphone. Once mounted, riders can enjoy the benefits of the Raleigh App which enables a host of features and capabilities. These features are unlocked via the aforementioned tiered membership option. Once the eBike is registered with the Raleigh App, it can be unlocked automatically with the Touch & GO feature. Riders can also track their journeys, set a security alarm, receive theft-attempt alerts and software notifications wirelessly. This fully-connected eBike also features built-in GPS, mobile connectivity and an integrated alarm system, ensuring both peace of mind and effortless usability.

The power level provided by the motor works with the rider, delivering more power the harder they pedal. The amount of assistance can be adjusted through the app, or directly on the bike using the simple controller on the handlebars. This can also be used to set the alarm, and unlock the e-bike using a back up code unique to each rider.

Seeking to make charging the Raleigh ONE as easy as possible, Raleigh has designed the eBike with two charging options available – whilst the battery is mounted, or directly to the battery once it has been removed. The bike comes with a 5a fast charger as standard, delivering 50% battery charge within 1 hour, and 100% within 2 hours and 20 minutes.

To complement the Raleigh ONE, a range of accessories has been curated to enable riders to tailor their ride. A sturdy AXA wheel-lock provides extra peace of mind for cafe or shopping stops. A front carrier block is available, with sturdy elastic straps included – and once installed a front basket can also be fitted. Looking ahead, future accessories will expand the ecosystem, designed to complement the features and minimalist aesthetic.

Selin Can, Executive Vice President of Mobility, Accell Group said: ‘’With the launch of the Raleigh ONE, we’re not just unveiling a new e-bike – we’re ushering in a new era of urban mobility. The Raleigh ONE is a bold fusion of heritage and innovation, designed for the city. Smart, secure, and built to last, it enables riders to make journeys with confidence and ease. This is an exciting chapter in the evolution of the Raleigh story.’’

Available to buy with customisable accessories, the Raleigh ONE will be available from July in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.

Raleigh UK officially became Accell UK & Ireland earlier this year, cementing its connection to its parent Accell Group, which owns 12 bike brands.
