Moots joins the Saddleback portfolio
Shown to shops for the first time during its house show and to be available to accounts from late October, Moots has joined Saddleback’s stable of brands.
With its 35-year heritage in hand making frames from its Colorado base, Moots created the industry’s first soft-tail design in 1987 before going on to establish itself in the custom titanium market in the 1990s. Moots debuted its first 29er in 1999 almost a decade before they became the norm on the trails.
“We’re enormously exciting to welcome Moots to the Saddleback family,” says brand director Richard Mardle. “Not only does the Moots team create the most exquisite titanium frames, but their real love of cycling shines through everything they do. The attention to detail, finish and ride quality are simply without equal. Combining beautiful these frames with Chris King, ENVE, Wolf Tooth and Silca products now makes Saddleback the home of dream builds fit for the most discerning riders.”
Shown to visitors to the House Show last week, the handmade catalogue for the year ahead includes its road-going Vamoots line, the Routt for pure gravel performance and Psycholo X for CX racers, along with the Baxter 29er for off-road adventuring. There’s also a three-strong line-up of flat-barred hardtails.
“Saddleback has a fantastic team and great reputation, not just in distribution, but most importantly in brand building,” says Moots president Drew Medlock. “We are really excited to have them as a partner in the UK to help tell the Moots story and provide better service to our existing UK customers.”
The house event was also a first chance to get hands on with HJC Helmets, which also signed a distribution agreement earlier this month.
