ORTLIEB Sportartikel makes 3 key appointments in CSR, purchasing & service

Manfred Uttinger, Hanna Reim and Olaf Borgelt are three key recent recruits to the ORTLIEB Sportartikel GmbH team, in the fields of Purchasing, Field Sales and CSR.

Three relevant positions have been filled at ORTLIEB Sportartikel GmbH in recent months. New personnel have been found in Purchasing, Field Service and CSR.

Manfred Uttinger took over the management position in Purchasing last April. Born in Franconia, he is a keen cyclist . CEO Martin Esslinger said: “Manfred has over 20 years of in-depth experience in the areas of production, purchasing and materials management. He also plays a key role in working with the CSR department to make our supply chain even more sustainable.”

Hanna Reim has been responsible for CSR since the beginning of November 2023. Esslinger explained: “In addition to the interface functions, Hanna’s main focus is on becoming the driving force in ORTLIEB’s efforts to live up to our DNA of authentic sustainability and thus continue on the path we have taken.” In addition to her management studies in textile trade and technologies, the enthusiastic sailor already has initial professional experience as a CSR manager in the water sports and outdoor sector.

The sales team of the expert for waterproof panniers and backpacks for the far north has been strengthened in the home market too. As the new sales representative, Olaf Borgelt is the contact person for customers from the bicycle sector. He brings with him a broad knowledge of the sports and bike industry, including from his time at Puma and KED.

Martin Esslinger said: “With Hanna, Manfred and Olaf, three people have joined us who are a real boost for us. In addition to their professional skills, they also fit in really well with ORTLIEB on a personal level and in terms of their convictions. Especially in challenging times, these are certainly also relevant points in order to master the tasks ahead as a team.”

ORTLIEB recently announced a collaboration with Cycling UK, including a range of products and initiatives designed to foster a stronger cycle community.
