PinkBike acquires Australia’s CyclingTips

Road and pro-focused website CyclingTips has been bought by PinkBike, with effect from 8 March 2019.

CyclingTips founder and GM Wade Wallace will remain part of the team. PinkBike said both sites enjoyed passionate readerships with a focus on in-depth respected content. PinkBike, established in 1998 by Radek Burkat, said it had the foundation and resource to help contribute to CyclingTips’ growth.

It’s the latest in a line of recent cycle media acquisitions, including the similarly focused Cyclingnews and Procycling, which were bought by Future last month, five years after it sold them.

“We are excited to commit the talents and resources we have at Pinkbike and Trailforks to allow the CyclingTips team to grow and be the leader in road cycling,” said PinkBike Founder and CTO Radek Burkat.
