QBP and BikeFlights.com launch Top Shop IBD exclusive programme

BikeFlights.com and Quality Bicycle Products (QBP) have joined forces to launch a new programme exclusively for QBP’s bike shop retailers.

Effective immediately, the Top Shop programme is open to QBP-affiliated shops which ship bikes, wheels and gear via BikeFlights.com.

BikeFlights.com, which celebrated its 10th birthday last year, is a shipping service for cyclists, bike shops and manufacturers.

All bicycle retailers with a QBP account number are invited to list their shops in BikeFlights.com’s recently enhanced Bike Shop Finder, which is searchable by location. Upon activating their listing, shops will be prompted to specify which in-store or mobile services they offer along the lines of packing, assembly, pickup or delivery location and certified e-Bike shipping.

Customers using the Bike Shop Finder can then filter by proximity and by service, able to quickly access details such as shop hours of operation and contact information.

QBP shops will receive an automatically-applied discount for each booking towards shipping costs, pickup fees and protection.

William Alcorn, President of BikeFlights.com, said: “We’re pleased to roll out our BikeFlights.com-QBP Top Shop programme at a tie when bike shops are increasingly expanding their ecommerce offerings and have a greater need to ship bikes, wheels and gear with confidence to their customers.

“Bike shops can also use BikeFlights.com to send components like forks and shocks to QBP’s Shock Treatment Centre for service while also shipping bikes, wheels and gear between shops or on behalf of their customers.”

QBP shops will soon have access to further perks through the Top Shop programme, including discounts on BikeFlights.com shipping cost-optimised cardboard bike and frame shipping boxes, priority shipment monitoring and educational webinars explaining shipping best practices.

“When BikeFlights.com came to us to discuss how we could work together to support bicycle retailers, we were excited to explore how we could help to expand retailers’ service offerings to consumers while also saving retailers on shipping expenses,” added Todd Cravens, Vice President of Business Development at QBP. “We believe that the Top Shop programme is an excellent value add that bike retailers can offer consumers.”

QBP is communicating directly with its retailers regarding how they can sign up for the programme, with participation free for all QBP shops.
