Raleigh UK’s wheel production adds premium lines
Raleigh UK’s wheel production lines have begun turning out a premium tier product built around WTB rims and Industry Nine hubs.
Capable of producing north of 100,000 wheels per year, the Nottingham production line will this month have high-spec choices for the mountain bike, gravel and road disc segments across 27.5″, 29″, as well as 650b and 700c for gravel and road.
Industry Nine hubs are Manufactured, and hand built in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. Having built a reputation for creating hubs that are exceptionally strong and light, I9 hubs also deliver incredibly fast engagement.
Hub models include the new to market Hydra MTB, New 101 MTB and Torch road disc hubs. Raleigh will hold stock of the full range of bearings, o-rings, free hub bodies, service kits and specific service tools so the IBD can buy with the confidence that back up and support is in place.
The class of these components are proven by being on the bikes of many top athletes such as Red Bull Rampage winner Brandon Semenuk and world cup downhill racer Bernard Kerr.
Rim options include the brand new WTB KOM Tough and Light rims in 21, 25, 29 and 35mm widths, which deliver high strength to weight ratios.
Parts and Accessories Business Manager Lee Kidger Said: “All our wheels are assembled right here in Nottingham by our team of expert wheel builders, the wheel building facility here at Raleigh is something we are immensely proud of and will continue to grow.
