Further investment sees Raleigh UK top 100,000 wheels built per annum
Raleigh UK is now producing over 100,000 wheels every year thanks to further investment in more wheel building machinery.
The Accell-owned business employs a number of specialist in-house technicians that hand finish the product which begins its journey in one of many state-of-the-art wheel building machines.
Among new products soon to roll off the production line Raleigh will introduce premium additions in the mountain bike and gravel segment.
When placing orders dealers have the option of choosing plain gauge and double butted spoke builds; basic single wall and double wall v-brake, or disc option rims and a wide choice of own brand or branded hubs.
Raleigh UK’s Managing Director, Pippa Wibberley, says of the progress: “As a leading player in UK Bicycle and Bicycle Parts and Accessories distribution it is vital that we continuously drive improvements. The whole company is working to make these changes and we are united in our drive to give IBDs the support they need to succeed in challenging market conditions. We are incredibly excited that we are able to make these significant business changes to support our dealers. Add to this our on-going drive to strengthen our brand portfolio with the products and brands that consumers are demanding and I am confident that our customers will achieve great things throughout the rest of 2019 and beyond”.
The wheel offering falls within Raleigh’s commitment to ship a product for next day delivery if ordered by 9pm. A Saturday delivery option is also available.
Those ordering wheelsets for the first time are invited to take advantage of a 10% discount on their first purchase, something that is redeemable here.
