Redhill Extreme bike park bought by Katy Curd and Jake Ireland
Redhill Extreme has been acquired by elite downhill racer Katy Curd and Pedalabikeaway Sprung Suspension workshop owner Jake Ireland.
Interviewed on WideOpen, the pair outlined how they had caught wind of the park being up for sale and grabbed the opportunity.
“Within about 5 minutes of hearing it was up for sale were on the phone sorting out meetings, money and before we knew it we had the keys in our hands,” Curd told WideOpen.
Though busy seven days a week with Sprung, Ireland describes the Redhill buyout as less like a business and more like a child, saying he’s “in it for the love.”
The facility houses a national 4x track, pump tracks, lots of dirt jumps and a handful of other features. The pair’s first move is said to be “to get the diggers in” to add a dual slalom track and more jumps for beginners and advanced riders.
